Job Title: Onshore Project Manager (Offshore Survey & ROV Operations)
Location: Rome, Italy (Hybrid – 50% Onsite)
Type: Full-Time

Relocation: Candidates must live within commuting distance to the Rome office or be willing to relocate


About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable Onshore Project Manager with a strong background in offshore survey and ROV operations, particularly in installation and geophysical survey projects. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Rome, Italy, with the opportunity to work remotely up to 50% of the time.

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex offshore projects, working cross-functionally with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to meet technical and commercial objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Conflict Resolution

  • Build and maintain effective client relationships.

  • Proactively manage conflict resolution and ensure project delivery in line with client expectations.

Project Definition & Resource Planning

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.

  • Identify and coordinate necessary manpower, equipment, and logistics.

Project Execution & Performance Monitoring

  • Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety/environmental standards.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and adjust plans as necessary to maintain targets.

Development of Project Documentation

  • Contribute to the preparation of execution plans, quality frameworks, and HSE compliance documentation.

Team Coordination & Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate closely with the Party Chief and offshore teams to ensure alignment between daily operations and project objectives.

  • Monitor progress and implement corrective measures as needed.

Project Meetings & Knowledge Sharing

  • Participate in project kick off, progress reviews, and close-out meetings.

  • Promote knowledge transfer and continuous improvement through lessons learned.

Procurement Process & Financial Administration

  • Initiate procurement requests, oversee invoice management, and liaise with clients for approval and payments.

Third-Party Service Management

  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, vetting their work and ensuring quality deliverables.

Progress Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Operations Manager.

  • Communicate clearly on project risks, issues, and developments.
