PermanentDescription:-
Position Brief: UK/EU-Based Sales Manager
Location Requirement: United Kingdom or Europe (Remote-Based)
Focus Sectors: Offshore Oil & Gas Survey, Offshore Wind Installation
Seniority: Mid-Level to Senior
Travel: 25–33%; No offshore travel required; international travel expected for trade shows and client meetings
Overview:
A growing offshore technology company is seeking to hire a UK/EU-based Sales Manager to play a key role in expanding its commercial presence across both traditional and renewable offshore energy markets. This role involves identifying opportunities, developing leads, preparing proposals and quotations, and closing deals — with a strong focus on proactive client engagement and relationship development.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the offshore survey and subsea construction industry, gained through operational, technical, or commercial roles. This is not necessarily a career sales position — the emphasis is on understanding offshore project dynamics and being able to credibly engage with project managers, survey leads, or procurement teams. Existing relationships within offshore contractors and operators will be viewed favorably.
The role supports strategic growth in the UK and Europe, while also contributing to business development in global markets such as South America, the Middle East, and APAC. The successful candidate will work independently within the region, while closely coordinating with a globally distributed technical and management team.
Key Objectives of the Role:
Drive regional revenue growth by generating and closing sales across three primary sectors:
• Subsea construction support (inertial metrology, well marker positioning, inertial navigation)
• Integrity management surveys (photogrammetry, subsea dimensional control)
• Offshore wind monopile installation support (foundation installation, sensor integration, as-built survey)Manage and qualify leads using CRM tools, with accountability from initial contact through to close.
Develop accurate, compelling proposals and quotations in collaboration with technical teams.
Expand presence in the UK/EU and identify opportunities in global growth markets through trade shows, industry events, and direct outreach.
Deepen engagement in the offshore wind sector by building relationships with developers, EPCIs, and foundation installers.
Provide market intelligence and field feedback to inform product and service development strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Based in the UK or EU, with the right to work.
3–5+ years of experience in the offshore energy sector, ideally in survey, construction, or renewables.
Commercially minded with the ability to lead client conversations — not necessarily a salesperson by title.
Existing network within the offshore survey, construction, or renewables industry.
Strong organizational skills and capable of managing multiple active opportunities.
Comfortable working remotely with international teams.
Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
No offshore travel required, but a solid understanding of offshore operations is essential.
